Just in case you were not aware, the Boron Kids Outreach Program (BKOP) is a non-profit, volunteer organization that seeks to do four basic things. #1 We work to provide free lunches for kids of this community. We work to give kids access to good nutrition through out the summer. #2 We also work to put on several event during the summer. We want to give kids in this community fun and engaging activities to do while school is out. #3 We work to help get kids ready for school. We distribute gently used clothes, and jackets, backpacks and school supplies. We also give back to school haircuts. #4 Which is most important, we seek to send a message to the kids in the community: “You are important. You matter. And we are here for you, to help you and to walk beside you.”

And we provide all of these services to the kids and teens in the Boron community at no cost to them or their families.

Thank You Boron for Helping to Make Water-Park Day a Success!

You should have seen the eyes of the kids as we rolled out the 20ft wide by 100ft long slip-n-slide! And then we set up the bounce house which is also a water slide. It was so much fun to watch their excitement and as they realized that they were gonna get to play and play hard!

July 4th marked our second annual Water-Park-Day. Not only did we have the attractions listed above we also had water-balloon baseball, a watermelon eating contest, hot dogs, and otter pops! This event was free to all the local kids and teens of the Boron Area.

Over 150 kids and teens from the community came out to cool off and have some fun before it was dark enough for fire works.

BKOP is grateful for the volunteers, families, and local businesses that made this all possible. And to express our gratitude we created this video!
